What If The Alabama Crimson Tide Changed It’s Helmet?

What if Alabama Changed it’s helmet for one game. Hell maybe even just the spring game or one of those early season slaughter games vs northwest poly tech community college.

Ok, state of Alabama calm down put tgun and pick the beer back up. I did some Alabama concepts last year and the state wanted to kill me. So, I decided to do some more with the new template to see if someone would throw a brick through my window.

I am going to stop you right now. I know you are classic, if it’s not broke don’t fix it hippy, it’s about play on the field, we win we don’t need to be like Oregon, Nick Saban is GOD!, and blah blah blah something about Miss Alabama. All of you people that are about ready to post any of that don’t bother I have heard it before.

These are just for fun and if you can’t handle might I suggest you look at the first picture below and then leave this site.

If you are still here enjoy and remember they are just an idea no one has approved it to be on the field yet.

I know this one will never happen but I like elephant logo and think they should use it once.

A white helmet is prob as close to being seen as a white elephant but I still think the idea of flipping the colors for one game would be fun.

This one is the flip of color look with a little houndstooth pattern that could be put on the helmet with a matte white paint job to really make it stand out under the lights. The pattern could be a ghost paint job but I think I like the matte idea better.

This helmet I think has the best chance of happening. This is just a modern update to the current look. The houndstooth pattern reflects the schools traditon without changing the look of the lid too drastically

This helmet is well what Alabama can do if it decides to say fuck it and do something really crazy . This helmet will give anyone over the age of 55 a heart attack at the pure sight of it.

What I Say The New Kansas Helmets Should Look Like & I’m Right

I did this stuff in a little over an hour and a half to prove the point KU and Adidas should have spent more time on design and less time clicking the buy button at the helmet website. I don’t like the red KU helmet all that much but for this I decided to make one of each color.

Ok, so this took me hour and a half so a room full of people at Adidas needs to be fired.

This one just needs to happen today. Go throw that ugly red thing away and make this one. Rock Chalk needs to make it on to a helmet it is just that simple.

I thought that if they want to go matte black they should do a big ass blue chrome Jayhawk on the side and instead of the number on the side Rock Chalk Jayhawk because that is so much cooler.

I am not a fan of the KU letters on a helmet but if you are going to do it go big

I like the idea of having the number on the helmet and I like the idea of the Jayhawk on the helmet so why pick. I think this with the KU logo on the back or maybe even Kansas spelled out would be a good look. It also comes in black see below.

I am not a fan of the red helmet but if they have to go red I like the kansas script logo and the number below but lets just say no to red for now.

The white helmet should look like this. I know the Jayhawks don’t do much with just the head of the Jayhawk but I really like this helmet.

Just decide to do with the double logo on this one

So, Adidas anything you do, I can do better, I do everything better than, So sit down and take some notes.

As you can see in the tweet above Kansas decided to spend a bunch of money on helmets and not so much money on design. Matte Black wow that’s new! Great thinking out of the box. New rule for all schools if you want to spend a shit ton of money on new helmets do something with the fucking decal that doesn’t make me yawn. Matte black, matte white, matte whatever is not a design it might be part of a design but you don’t just go yep make it matte and slap the same old logo on the helmet. That sucks and it is expensive. Matte I have no problem with but do something on it. The red helmet needs to go. White and royal blue helmets are fine. The powder blue might have worked but this crap of slap a number on one side bores me.

I am glad to see the Jayhawk on the helmet but having five helmet options two of which I could do without and a third I hate with the same logo on them is just bad design. I don’t know if this is Adidas or KU or a combo of the two of them thinking together but its just not good. I expect more.

Grade: B-

The Jayhawk on the helmet gets them a A points were deducted for lack of original thinking aka copying, deciding to use red, having the same look on all helmets and not having a stripe on a single helmet

This is my concept for bringing the Jayhawk back over a year ago.

I m going to spend the next two hours doing some new KU designs and guess what they will be better than what a team of Adidas designers came up with. Who is paying for this bad work???????????

Michigan Wolverines Helmet Concepts

Michigan is one of those teams that you get beat up for even saying they need to do something new with their helmets. I agree that the Michigan helmet is a timeless classic. I would hate to see them go to a block M or a wolverine or something else on the side of the helmet, but what if we played with the current classic look? Hold on don’t send the hate mail just yet. I think that if the team were to ever change things up a bit I think one or two of these concepts would be just the ticket. Try and keep an open mind before yelling kill the monster like how a Bama or Penn State fan would react, you are better than that now, Go get a cocktail drink it all, pour another one and suck on the ice while you scroll down.

These helmets here have a navy blue carbon fiber base with a two tone yellow decal. I think this still honors the classic but gives it that modern edge the players would love to wear.

This one is classic as classic get but with navy blue carbon fiber.

This one just adds an outline to the classic helmet. Nothing too shocking but I still like it.

I like the idea of a yellow or white helmet. I think that if the team was ever going to go away from a navy blue base that this is where they would go first.

It is hard to tell but these helmets feature a navy blue outline around the classic yellow.

The Yellow on Yellow with the navy outline is one of my favs

The white helmet with an all white uniform could be a great look. I am not sure if I like this version of the blue with yellow outline better.
