Less than 24 hours ago I did some concept patch/decals for to honor the 10 year Anniversary of the passing of American Hero Pat Tillman. You can view the logos and the helmets I made by clicking here.
Today I went about tweeting out my idea to Jake Plummer, Larry Fitzgerald, Bruce Arians, and Derrick Hall. I was surprised at how fast Jake tweeted me back. I explained to him how I thought Pat Tillman needed a memorial patch that was more than the standard black circle. I tweeted Jake these pictures.
Jake loved the helmets and asked how he could help.

Jake went onto retweet the idea to a great response from the twittersphere in the last hour.
So, now is the time to layout my idea of how this would work.
I would like to see both ASU and Cardinals to wear a memorial decal on their helmet, uniform, or both during this entire season. I would also like to the Diamondbacks ad the patch to their military appreciation caps and uniforms.
The next two ideas are rather large and possibly beyond achieving since so many people would be involved in getting it all OK’d.
First I would like to ASU and the Cardinals do a weekend where both teams play at home and wear a tribute helmet. The helmet I have in mind is below. It will feature the 10yr Memorial Decal as the main side decal on one side of the helmet and a team color digital camo version of the teams normal logo.
It was pointed out on twitter that the weekend of 11/8 11/9 is the only weekend both teams are home and it is also the weekend before Veteran’s day

My last idea is to have the Memorial patch on the helmet of each team that makes the Super Bowl that will be held in Arizona as well as on the field.
